Welcome to bintjoe.com. My name is Dena and I’m a Multimedia Producer.

When I was little and people would ask me the age-old question: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I’d always answer with “a cartoon animator.”

I’d sit in my room and draw up characters. Give them names and storylines, and move on to the next.

As I got older, I fell in love with football. Thus my dreams shifted to a career in sports.

After college, in effort to understand the world I was about to step into, I got into politics and learning about the history of everything. I watched tons of documentaries on the Arab world and early 20th century American politics. I grew an affinity for presidents like FDR and JFK, was mind-blown in learning about Watergate and the Nixon-era. My ambitious heart then assessed the last four (OK, fine, five) of my college years and wondered if I made the right decision in pursuing a career in sports instead of something “with purpose.”

Bintjoe was created when I realized that I am not meant to love just one thing. I can encourage my jumbled brain and all its ideas instead of driving it through one lane.

Here, you will find a plethora of “things” like sports shows, cartoons, political documentaries, my flavor of the week (currently, it’s cool gift wrapping) and more. The only cohesive thing about my brand is that it comes from a passionate spirit that promises to give you its all… until I find the next thing to obsess over.
